Scotland are on their way to the World Cup for the first time since 1998, with the squad flying out to a training base in Florida on Sunday morning.
Head coach Steve Clarke spoke at Glasgow Airport, stating, “This is the third tournament this group has been at and we want to be the first Scottish team to get to the knockout stage.”
He added, “Hopefully we can show a bit of tournament experience and make it a summer to remember.”
Gilmour Out, Fletcher In
There has been one late change to the squad of 26 players, with Billy Gilmour injured in Saturday’s friendly win over Curacao.
Manchester United’s Tyler Fletcher, 19, replaces the Napoli midfielder.
Clarke commented on Gilmour’s injury: “Everybody is devastated for Billy. It’s heartbreaking when it happens at any time during a campaign, but for it to happen in the send-off game is particularly tough.”
