Flavio Cobolli has been dominant so far at the ATP French Open without dropping a set. Zachary Svajda arrives after several physically demanding matches. The two are set to face off as players battle for a place in the quarterfinals in Paris.
Cobolli’s Straight-Set Success
Flavio Cobolli has won three of his last five matches. This week in Paris, the Italian defeated Pellegrino in the opening round in straight sets. In the second round, the Italian defeated Wu in straight sets, despite trailing 0-2 in the second set. The Italian demolished Tien in the third round in straight sets.
Svajda’s Gruelling Path
Zachary Svajda has won three of his last five matches. This week in Paris, Svajda upset Popyrin in the opening match, stepping up his level after losing the opening set and winning in four sets. In the second round, Svajda defeated Walton in four sets, serving 21 aces. His toughest challenge happened in the third round against Cerundolo, where after playing for over three hours, the American upset Cerundolo in five tight sets.
Cobolli Favoured Due to Svajda’s Fatigue
Cobolli is the favourite in this matchup. He has won all three matches this week in straight sets easily. Svajda had several tough matches and will be tired coming into this match. It is expected that Cobolli will dominate the rallies.
Cobolli covering the -7.5 games handicap is considered a value bet.

Frances Tiafoe has won four of his last five matches. This week in Paris, Tiafoe outlasted Spizzirri in four sets in the opening match, saving two out of three breakpoints. In the second round, the American outlasted Hurkacz in five tight sets after playing for almost five hours, even having a chance to close out the match in the fourth set.
