Indiana Fever Sign Grace VanSlooten to Fill Roster Spot

The Indiana Fever have signed Grace VanSlooten to a rest-of-season contract, the team announced on Friday afternoon.

The Fever had an open roster spot after waiving guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough on Thursday.

VanSlooten’s Journey to Indiana

VanSlooten, a two-time All-Big Ten honoree at Michigan State, was drafted with the No. 39 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft by the Seattle Storm. She played in four games with the Storm, including one against the Fever. During her time with Seattle, she averaged 4.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game before being waived on May 18.

At Michigan State, VanSlooten averaged 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game during her senior season.

Frontcourt Depth Amidst Injuries

VanSlooten will give the Indiana Fever additional depth in the frontcourt.

This is a group that has been hit by injuries early in the season. Monique Billings missed the season opener with an ankle injury and returned May 13. Aliyah Boston missed the Fever’s game against Seattle on May 17 with a lower leg injury before returning May 20.

Grace VanSlooten is a 6-foot-3 forward.
