Indiana Fever Add Grace VanSlooten; Roster Update and Team News

The Indiana Fever have signed 6-foot-3 forward Grace VanSlooten to a contract for the rest of the season. The team made the announcement on Friday afternoon.

This move fills an open roster spot for the Fever. The spot became available after the team waived guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough on Thursday.

VanSlooten’s Journey to Indiana

VanSlooten was originally drafted by the Seattle Storm. The Storm selected her with the No. 39 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft. Before joining the Fever, she played in four games with Seattle, averaging 4.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game.

One of those games with the Storm was against the Fever.

Prior to her WNBA career, VanSlooten was a two-time All-Big Ten honoree at Michigan State. During her senior season, she averaged 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Spartans.

Frontcourt Depth Amidst Injuries

VanSlooten is expected to provide additional depth in the frontcourt for the Indiana Fever. The team has faced some injury challenges early in the season.

Monique Billings missed the season opener due to an ankle injury but returned on May 13. Aliyah Boston missed the Fever’s game against Seattle on May 17 with a lower leg injury, later returning on May 20.
