Forest Green Rovers are set to face Tamworth at The Lamb Ground, aiming to secure their second consecutive National League victory.
Robbie Savage’s team secured a convincing 2-0 win against Wealdstone on Saturday.
Neil Kengni scored his first goal for Rovers, and Gabe Kircough added a header in the second half to seal the victory.
Tamworth’s Recent Form and Home Record
Tamworth currently sit 12th in the National League table with seven games remaining.
The Lambs have been struggling recently, losing four of their last five league games. However, they won at home against third-place Carlisle United and have won their last three fixtures at The Lamb Ground.
Previous Encounter: Rovers Triumph in Six-Goal Thriller
The two sides last met in November, with Rovers winning a six-goal match.
Despite an early red card for Tamworth, Manny Duku opened the scoring in the 15th minute. Kyle McAllister converted a penalty, Temi Babalola scored twice, and Nick Haughton added another goal for Rovers, while Joe Rye scored a late consolation for Tamworth.
Rovers will be hoping for a similar result.
Andy Peaks at the Helm for Tamworth
Andy Peaks was appointed as The Lambs Manager back in 2022.
He joined from Rushden and Diamonds.
Under Peaks, the club achieved successive promotions in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons to reach the National League.
Peaks signed a new contract midway through last season to manage the club on a full-time basis.
Peaks will be hoping his side can continue their fine run of home form.
Oliver Lynch: A Key Player for The Lambs
Oliver Lynch has impressed for the Lambs since joining on loan from Luton Town at the start of the season.
Lynch has made 48 appearances in all competitions, scoring 14 goals.
Nine of these goals have come in the National League, including three in his last two games.
He scored both goals in the 2-1 win over Carlisle United, with the Lambs coming from behind.
Rovers will need to be aware of the forward.
