Alcaraz Reflects on Family Support During Injury Recovery

Carlos Alcaraz is currently in Murcia, combining physical work with appearances at events such as the Princess of Girona Foundation.

He is unable to play due to a right wrist injury.

Alcaraz Values Family Support During Recovery

Alcaraz acknowledges the importance of his family, especially during recent injury setbacks.

He appreciates the lack of pressure he felt from his parents when pursuing his dream. Alcaraz stated, “Now I realize that what really matters, my family, who have always been there to support me; they never forced me to play tennis but always gave me the choice and that helped me continue to enjoy it and never feel stressed. They’re the reason I’m the person I am today.”

Finding Positives in Time Away From Competition

Alcaraz is using his time away from competition to spend quality time with his family.

He said that he now appreciates the simple things, such as spending time at home with family and friends. “Now you realise and value the little things more. Now I really value staying at home with my family and friends, doing some ‘silly things’ at home… those little things are what I really value now. When you’re competing and travelling, you don’t realise how important the simple and small things are that are there in your day to day life,” Alcaraz stated.

Alcaraz misses competing in Paris, especially after last year’s final against Jannik Sinner.
