Yamal Hat-Trick Secures Barcelona’s La Liga Lead

Lamine Yamal scored a hat-trick in Barcelona’s 4-1 win against Villarreal, putting his team four points clear at the top of La Liga.

Yamal’s Record-Breaking Performance

At 18 years and 230 days old, Yamal is the youngest player to score a hat-trick in La Liga, according to Opta.

Following the match, Yamal admitted he hadn’t been feeling himself, but that he felt much better recently. He said he was happy to be smiling on the pitch again and is now enjoying playing.

His second goal involved beating a rival by cutting in from the right wing, before placing a shot into the far corner.

Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, said that Yamal is exceptional and is there to make people happy.

Robert Lewandowski, coming on as a substitute, scored Barcelona’s fourth goal in stoppage time at Camp Nou.
