The Role of the VNL Tournament
The Volleyball Nations League is an annual international volleyball organisation. Organised by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the VNL brings together the strongest women’s and men’s national teams from around the world. The tournament was first held in 2018.
The VNL serves a significant purpose by allowing national teams to test themselves against top-level rivals. This preparation is vital before major tournaments such as the Olympics, World Championships, and European Championships. Furthermore, important points that influence the FIVB world rankings are distributed during this competition.
