Tennessee basketball have added Belmont guard Tyler Lundblade, making their first move in the transfer portal. Lundblade announced the move on Instagram, writing: “God opens doors no man can shut.. Rocky Top!”
Lundblade, a redshirt senior, entered the portal early on March 16 as a graduate transfer. The Vols hosted him early after their loss to Michigan in the Elite Eight.
Filling a Scoring Need
The 6-foot-5, 195-pound guard is expected to fill a dire scoring need for Tennessee. Lundblade averaged 15.6 points for the Bruins. He is also described as an elite shooter. In the 2024-25 season, he made 48% of his 3-pointers. That consistency continued into 2025-26, where he still made 40.6% on an increased volume.
Lundblade’s Career So Far
Lundblade led the Bruins to a 26-6 record and the top spot in the Missouri Valley Conference. Belmont flopped in the MVC quarterfinals against Drake, 100-79.
Lundblade began his college career at SMU. He redshirted as a freshman, then transferred to TCU and only appeared in 15 total games across two seasons. He came to Belmont in 2024 and started every game in this season.
