Steve Kerr is returning to the Golden State Warriors. This comes after speculation about whether he would be back for his 13th season as the team’s head coach.
Kerr’s Lucrative New Contract
Kerr was offered a contract by ESPN to join the network as an analyst.
Tim Kawakami of the San Francisco Standard reported the offer could have been up to $7 million per season.
However, Kerr opted to return to coaching. He was rewarded handsomely for doing so.
Kerr’s two-year deal will net him $17.5 million per year.
This makes him the NBA’s highest-paid coach once again.
Kerr’s Coaching Achievements
Through 12 seasons, Kerr has amassed over 600 career wins.
He also has four titles as a coach.
Kerr is also a five-time champion as a player.
Kerr is returning to the Warriors for another season.
