The New Orleans Saints have added to their receiving corps by drafting Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. The selection was made with the eighth pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Tyson Joins Olave in New Orleans
Tyson, standing at 6’2″ and weighing 203 lbs, is the ninth wide receiver chosen by the Saints in the first round of the NFL Draft. The last time the Saints selected a wideout this high was in 1978 with Wes Chandler (third overall).
Tyson will join Chris Olave, an Ohio State wide receiver selected by the Saints as the 11th overall pick in 2022. Tyson began his college career at Colorado in 2022 before transferring to Arizona State for the 2023-2025 seasons.
Tyson’s College Career
Over 33 college games, with 23 starts, Tyson recorded 158 receptions for 2,282 yards, averaging 14.4 yards per catch. He also scored 22 touchdowns. In 2024 and 2025, he earned Associated Press third-team All-American honours.
Saints Bolster Roster Through the Draft
The Saints also drafted defensive tackle Christen Miller from Georgia with the 42nd pick. Miller, measuring 6’3″ and weighing 321 lbs, played in 43 games for Georgia, starting in 24 of those. He recorded 64 tackles (31 solo), 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and one pass breakup.
Miller’s history with the term “Saint” extends back to high school, where he secured two state championships with the Cedar Grove High School Saints. He also graduated from Georgia with a degree in Housing Management & Policy.
Delp Adds to Georgia Connection
Tight end Oscar Delp from Georgia was selected by the Saints with the 73rd pick. Delp, 6’4″ and 245 lbs, played in 55 games during his college career, starting 34. He had 70 receptions for 854 yards and nine touchdowns.
With the additions of Miller and Delp, the Saints now have three former Georgia players on their roster, including Xavier Truss.
Wright Rounds Out Draft Selections
Guard Jeremiah Wright from Auburn was picked by the Saints with the 132nd pick. Wright, standing at 6’3″ and weighing 331 lbs, is the fourth Auburn player ever drafted by the Saints. The last Auburn player drafted by the Saints was DE Frank Warren in 1981.

- Wright started his career as a defensive tackle.
The Saints also drafted University of Georgia defensive tackle Christen Miller, University of Georgia tight end Oscar Delp, Auburn guard Jeremiah Wright, North Dakota State wide receiver Bryce Lance, Ohio State defensive back Lorenzo Styles Jr., LSU wide receiver Barion Brown and Iowa defensive back TJ Hall.
