Rory McIlroy Claims Back-to-Back Masters Titles in 2026

Rory McIlroy made more history with back-to-back Green Jackets at the Masters.

That’s six majors for McIlroy now, and he will be one of the big favourites for the second major of the year, the US PGA Championship next month.

McIlroy’s Victory

McIlroy’s Masters victory was typical of his entire career, making a flying start then suffering a big blow on Sunday but managing to gather himself and eventually taste glory.

And back-to-back Masters glory at that! Challengers came from all corners of Augusta National during an electric Sunday.

This victory moves him to six overall, with two Green Jackets, two US PGA Championships and one US Open and Open Championship.

Rory McIlroy described Harry Diamond as the big brother he never had and looks up to him tremendously.

Trish Johnson said that Diamond is a very good golfer and they played junior golf together, which is a big plus as you’ve got a player on your bag that can see what Rory can see as well.

She added that they have such a great rapport, and she doesn’t underestimate a caddy being a friend when you are going through really pressurised moments, how much that means, and it’s a wonderful moment for him.
