Peñarol and Corinthians are set to face off in their fifth match of Group E in the Copa Libertadores this Thursday. The match is scheduled to kick off at 21:30 (Brasília time) at the Estadio Campeón del Siglo in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Corinthians’ Lineup and Resting Players
Corinthians will start with Hugo Souza, Pedro Milans, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique, and Fabrizio Angileri. Allan, André, and Matheus Pereira will feature in midfield, with Kaio César, Pedro Raul, and Zakaria Labyad leading the attack. Fernando Diniz will manage the team.

Matheus Bidu has not travelled to Montevideo. The left-back is sidelined due to a sprained left ankle.
Memphis Depay remains unavailable for selection. The forward, who has been out of action for two months, is still experiencing pain in his calf during his physical transition. He was not included in the squad for the match.
Corinthians have further absentees due to physical issues. João Pedro Tchoca, Hugo, Kayke, and Vitinho are all unavailable. Alex Santana was not included in the list of registered players for this stage of the Libertadores.
Peñarol’s Confirmed Starting XI
Peñarol’s starting lineup includes Aguerre, Escobar, Lemos, Gularte, and Laxalt. Maxi Olivera and Darias will play in midfield, with Arezo, Trindade, and Togni supporting Umpiérrez in attack. Diego Aguirre, who has previously coached several Brazilian clubs, will manage the Uruguayan side.
Charles Returns to the Squad
Charles has been included in the squad after recovering from a heel injury that has kept him out for over 40 days. However, the midfielder will start the match on the bench.
