NFL draft analysts have released a 2026 mock draft, offering a glimpse into potential future selections. Mel Kiper Jr., Matt Miller, Jordan Reid and Field Yates participated in the exercise, each making 25 selections.
The mock draft involved a rotating selection process through the first three rounds. The analysts adopted a general manager role for each of the 32 teams, making selections based on their own player rankings and scouting reports.
Kiper Predicts Raiders Select Mendoza
Mel Kiper Jr. believes the Las Vegas Raiders will target a quarterback early. He has them selecting Fernando Mendoza from Indiana, citing Mendoza’s potential to become a franchise quarterback.
Jets Eye Reese, Cardinals Focus on Mauigoa
Matt Miller has the New York Jets selecting Arvell Reese, an edge rusher from Ohio State. Miller favours Reese’s upside over David Bailey’s proven production, highlighting Reese’s potential for double-digit sacks and versatility.
Jordan Reid projects the Arizona Cardinals to draft Francis Mauigoa, an offensive tackle from Miami. Despite the Cardinals signing Elijah Wilkinson, Reid views Mauigoa as a long-term solution at right tackle and considers him the top tackle in the class.
Bailey to the Titans, Love to the Giants
Field Yates has David Bailey, an edge rusher from Texas Tech, going to the Tennessee Titans. Bailey tied for the FBS lead with 14.5 sacks in 2025. Kiper has the New York Giants selecting Jeremiyah Love, a running back from Notre Dame. Kiper believes Love is a dynamic playmaker who could elevate Jaxson Dart and the Giants’ offense.
Browns Pick Lemon, Washington Take Downs
Miller projects the Cleveland Browns will select Makai Lemon, a wide receiver from USC. Miller ranks Lemon as the top wide receiver in the class, noting his ability to create space and vary his routes.
Reid forecasts Caleb Downs, a safety from Ohio State, to be picked by the Washington franchise. Downs’ instincts and versatility could help a Washington defence that struggled against the pass last season. He is a consistent tackler with great ball skills.
Saints Could Add Styles
Yates has Sonny Styles, a linebacker from Ohio State, being selected. It is to be determined whether linebacker is a pressing need for the New Orleans Saints.
The analysts made their selections without factoring in potential trades. The mock draft provides insight into how each analyst views the 2026 draft class and the needs of various NFL teams.
