Knicks Dominate 76ers in Game 3, Take Commanding Series Lead

The New York Knicks are rolling through the playoffs. They defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 3 on Friday night, 108-94.

The Knicks now hold a commanding 3-0 series lead. This Game 3 victory scarcely felt like a road game, due to the amount of Knicks fans who flocked to Xfinity Mobile Arena.

Brunson Leads the Charge

Jalen Brunson did the bulk of the heavy lifting for the Knicks, finishing with a game-high 33 points. He added five rebounds and nine assists.

Mikal Bridges recorded 23 points in support of Brunson, on an efficient 8-14 performance from the field.

Contributions From Across the Roster

Every Knicks player had their time under the Xfinity Mobile Arena bright lights on Friday night. Karl-Anthony Towns stuffed the stat sheet with eight points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists. Josh Hart finished with a double-double, tallying 12 points and 11 rebounds.

New York got incredible minutes from Landry Shamet, who scored 15 in 26 minutes off the bench and was a plus-20. Mitchell Robinson made life difficult for Joel Embiid.

Knicks on the Verge

  • No team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit in the playoffs.
  • The 76ers would literally have to do something that’s never been done before if they were to somehow come back from this hole they’re in.
  • The Knicks were without OG Anunoby due to a hamstring injury.

Scoring this win without Anunoby is such a huge victory for the Knicks, as they can afford to bring him back slowly even more.
