Milton Giménez will replace Adam Bareiro in the Boca Juniors’ lineup for their match against Barcelona of Ecuador in the Copa Libertadores.
The match is scheduled for Tuesday night. The question was who would replace Adam Bareiro, who is suspended after being sent off against Cruzeiro. Claudio Úbeda has decided who will take his place.
Giménez Gets the Nod
According to reports, Milton Giménez will join the starting team in place of Bareiro. The forward has been performing well, scoring three goals in the last five matches he has played. Úbeda has settled the question of who will play in the attack.
Exequiel Zeballos was another option considered by the manager to replace the Paraguayan player.
However, the manager opted for Giménez, a player with similar characteristics to Adam, to be present in the attack.
Giménez has earned his place in the Boca starting lineup.
Boca Juniors’ Lineup vs. Barcelona
The only doubt was in the attack, and that was cleared up when Úbeda chose Milton Giménez. The rest of the Boca team to face Barcelona in Ecuador will be the usual starters that the manager relies on. Apart from that change, there will be no other big surprises.
The likely starting eleven for the Copa Libertadores match is: Leandro Brey; Marcelo Weigandt, Lautaro Di Lollo, Ayrton Costa, Lautaro Blanco; Santiago Ascacibar, Leandro Paredes, Milton Delgado; Tomás Aranda; Miguel Merentiel and Milton Giménez.
