Mike Vrabel’s Arizona Trip: Coach Spotted With Reporter

New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel and NFL reporter Dianna Russini were spotted having breakfast together at a resort in Sedona, Arizona, last month.

Exclusive photos obtained show the pair at the Ambiente resort. An insider reported the breakfast took place on the morning of March 28.

Multiple eyewitnesses claimed the two dined alone.

Allegations of Attempts to Remain Incognito

The insider also stated that Vrabel and Russini appeared to be trying to go incognito. They allegedly walked separately to different locations in the resort throughout the day, following their breakfast.

The source claimed it seemed as if “they really didn’t want to be seen walking together.”

Page Six has reached out to reps for Vrabel and Russini for comment on the newly released images.

Previous Photos and Reactions

Earlier this month, photos emerged of Vrabel and Russini holding hands and hugging at the resort. Following their breakfast on March 28, an eyewitness spotted them spending time together at the pool and in a hot tub. Later that evening, they appeared to briefly dance together while hugging at sunset.

Multiple eyewitnesses stated they did not see anyone else with Vrabel and Russini at the time. However, both have insisted they were with friends, who they claimed were simply not visible in the pictures.

Vrabel, who has two children with his wife Jen, stated: “These photos show a completely innocent interaction and any suggestion otherwise is laughable. This doesn’t deserve any further response.”

Russini, who is also married with two children, said: “The photos don’t represent the group of six people who were hanging out during the day. Like most journalists in the NFL, reporters interact with sources away from stadiums and other venues.”

Russini’s Resignation

One week after the photos went viral, Russini announced her resignation from her role at the Athletic. This came amid the company launching an investigation into the matter.

“I have decided to step aside now — before my current contract expires on June 30,” Russini wrote in her resignation letter. “I do so not because I accept the narrative that has been constructed around this episode, but because I refuse to lend it further oxygen or to let it define me or my career.”

Vrabel spoke to reporters about the photo scandal for the first time at a pre-NFL draft press conference.
