Smart’s Defensive Impact
Smart recorded five steals during Sunday’s 128-104 win over the Kings. He played for 25 minutes. The five steals represent his highest total since he had seven against the Hornets on Nov. 10.
Smart’s Recent Contributions
Smart also contributed nine points, going 3-5 from the field and 3-5 from three-point range. He added three rebounds and three assists. However, the veteran guard has faced challenges in consistently contributing for the Lakers.
In the last seven games, Smart has only reached double figures in scoring once. Over that period, he is averaging 7.0 points, 2.6 assists, 2.1 boards, 1.6 steals and 1.3 threes in 26.4 minutes.
