Lyon v Auxerre Ligue 1 Match Brought Forward to 3pm

The Ligue 1 match between Lyon and Auxerre has been brought forward to 3pm. The match was initially scheduled to kick off at 5pm.

Public Order Concerns Prompt Time Change

The change was made due to public order concerns. These concerns were brought to the attention of the LFP by the Préfecture du Rhône after the initial schedule was made.

A rap festival is scheduled to take place at the LDLC Arena on the same day. The festival starts at 7:30pm and features artists such as Gazo, Leto, Franglish, Guy2bezbar, and Gambi.

The LDLC Arena is located next to the Groupama Stadium. This meant that the two audiences would have crossed paths, particularly around the tramway that connects Lyon to both venues.

Broadcasting Details

The match will be broadcast on beIN Sports. It will be the only match this weekend that is not available on Ligue 1+.

This season, Ligue 1 matches have been spread across various slots. These include Friday at 8:45pm, Saturday at 5pm, 7pm and 9:05pm, and Sunday at 3pm, a 5:15pm multiplex, and the headline match at 8:45pm.

The schedule is expected to change next year. The Saturday evening multiplex is expected to return.
