Luxembourg is set to host the ING Night Marathon, a major sporting event in the capital. The event will take 18,000 participants through various districts of Luxembourg-ville.

Marathon Route and Key Locations

The ING Night Marathon starts at Luxexpo at 7 p.m. The route goes through Kirchberg, Limpertsberg, and Ville-Haute (for both the semi-marathon and marathon). Marathon runners will also go through the Gare district, Hollerich, and Belair.

The course includes boulevard Kennedy, the Pont Rouge, the Palais grand-ducal, the Gëlle Fra, the pont Adolphe, and the municipal park. Runners will also be seen along the avenue de la Liberté and at the Glacis. Race results will be published on ing-night-marathon.lu.

Traffic and Parking Restrictions

Parking will be available but limited along the course. Vehicles parked on the route cannot be moved during the race. The city advises owners to move their vehicles before the event if they need to use them.

Traffic will be stopped until midnight in the affected areas. Closures begin at 4:30 p.m. in Kirchberg and Limpertsberg, 7 p.m. in the city centre, Hollerich, and Belair, and 7:30 p.m. in the Gare district. Police will be present to help residents navigate through 38 designated crossing points along the route.

The tram will not run between Luxexpo and the airport from 6:30 p.m. to 7:40 p.m., and between Faïencerie and Theater from 6:50 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The tram’s night schedule will be extended, with the last departure from Luxexpo at 2:30 a.m. and from Stadion at 2:30 a.m.
