Questions have arisen regarding Leandro Trossard’s marriage after his wife, Laura Hilven, seemingly deleted all evidence of him from her social media accounts. The Arsenal star’s wife, 33, has removed wedding day photos and has not posted any pictures of herself wearing her ring since late last year. Pictures of her in an Arsenal shirt with her husband have also disappeared from her social channels.
Social Media Cleanse Sparks Speculation
Laura Hilven, who has 35,000 followers on Instagram, previously posted frequently about their life together. A source told The Sun that Laura used to have many pictures on her Instagram showing her and Leandro on their wedding day, on holidays and going out on date nights, but she has wiped them all.
The deleted images include one from Trossard’s proposal in 2018, holiday snaps, and a photo of the couple together on the Emirates pitch at the end of last season. According to the source, if someone looked at her profile now, they would have no clue that they had ever been together, let alone married.
Her Instagram page now features pictures of her with family, her 33rd birthday, a trip to Disneyland Paris, playing tennis, and a trip to Wimbledon. The Sun reports that the marriage has been under strain as he looks to help the Gunners secure a Premier League and Champions League double.
A Look Back at Their Relationship
The couple got together 13 years ago and married in 2019, the year he moved to the Premier League with Brighton. After she accepted Trossard’s proposal of marriage, she wrote: “I can’t picture my life with anyone other than YOU! I SAID YES #hefinallypoppedthequestion #sohappytobeengagedtohim #soonwifey #marriedwiththemanofmydreams.”
A post of a picture from their wedding day saw Hilven write: “I have been told many times, how beautiful it is, how deep it goes. But only since I know you I know that love really exists.”
Trossard’s Focus on the Pitch
Trossard, 31, started Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final second leg victory over Atletico Madrid. He is due to be involved when the Gunners visit relegation-threatened West Ham on Sunday.
Victory in their final three domestic matches will secure Arsenal’s first league title in 22 years. The Gunners will then face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final in Budapest on May 30.
Trossard is due to play at West Ham on Sunday.
