Kyle Busch requested medical attention after the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen International on Sunday. The two-time Cup Series champion, who secured his best finish of the 2026 season with an eighth-place result, voiced his need for medical assistance as the Go Bowling at The Glen race concluded.
Busch’s Request for Medical Assistance
As the race was wrapping up, Busch was heard requesting a doctor. Over his radio, Busch arranged to meet with a doctor after exiting his car but did not specify the reason.
Busch asked, “Can somebody try to find Bill Heisel? He’s the kindred doctor guy. Tell him I need him after the race, please.” He then chose to meet the doctor on his bus, stating, “I’m going to need a shot.”
Sinus Cold Preceding the Race
According to Mike Joy during the FS1 broadcast, Busch had been feeling under the weather all week leading up to the race. It was reported that Busch battled a “sinus cold” throughout the week.
