Jin Young Ko has claimed her ninth LPGA title at the Mizuho Americas Open, achieving another money record in the process. The $487,500 first-place prize elevates her to the fastest player to surpass $18 million in career earnings. Ko also holds the record for the fastest climb to the $8 million milestone, all the way through to $18 million.
“It means the world,” said Ko of successfully defending at Mizuho. “It means a lot to me.”
Ko’s Winning Performance
The 23-year-old Thai star has nearly earned $1 million in 2026 after securing two victories. Her first win was on home soil at the Honda LPGA Thailand. At the Mizuho Americas Open, Ko birdied the last hole at Mountain Ridge Country Club. This secured her victory by four strokes over Ruoning Yin, a close friend.
