Huddersfield Giants have announced Jim Lenihan as the club’s new Head Coach. He has signed a long term contract.
Lenihan’s appointment continues the theme of change running through the new “Giants Unleashed” era at the club. He was formerly an assistant with the Gold Coast Titans.
Lenihan Returns to Huddersfield
Jim Lenihan is no stranger to the club. He featured 21 times for the Huddersfield Giants during the 1999 season.
During his playing career, Lenihan scored numerous tries. He will now become Head Coach, working alongside the performance staff.
Vision for the Club
The Huddersfield Giants received some outstanding applications from candidates. However, it was Lenihan’s vision for the club that aligned with the clubs as we embark on this Unleashed journey, as being the perfect fit.
Immediate Start, Subject to Clearance
Lenihan will link up with immediate effect, subject to visa clearances. He is a two-time Intrust Super Cup premiership-winning coach.
An exclusive interview with Jim will follow on the club’s social channels. The interview will be available on their YouTube channel.
