Jacob Fatu’s Dramatic SmackDown Arrival Ahead of WrestleMania

Jacob Fatu and Drew McIntyre are ramping up their rivalry as WrestleMania 42 draws near. The tension escalated on the April 17 episode of WWE SmackDown, where Fatu made a memorable appearance.

Fatu’s Cop Car Entrance

McIntyre has repeatedly attempted to provoke Fatu, referencing his past and orchestrating a public “arrest”. However, on SmackDown, Fatu turned the tables. Sirens blared as a police car entered the arena, immediately grabbing everyone’s attention. An officer opened the door to reveal Fatu, who then climbed onto the vehicle with a microphone.

Fatu addressed McIntyre’s attempts to humiliate him. He declared that being handcuffed in front of his family didn’t break him. Fatu stated he has no shame in his past and won’t allow McIntyre to define him. He also dismissed any notion of fear, asserting that he is a changed man and can’t be intimidated.

Unsanctioned Match Promises Chaos

Fatu then turned his attention to their upcoming Unsanctioned Match. He promised chaos, emphasising that with no rules, officials, or limits, nothing would stop him. Fatu went so far as to say that not even a SWAT team could prevent him from dismantling McIntyre.

McIntyre’s Attack Sets the Stage

The confrontation on SmackDown was a direct response to McIntyre’s attack the previous week. After Fatu’s victory over Tama Tonga, McIntyre launched a post-match assault. According to WrestlingNewsSource.com (h/t), McIntyre used chairs and steel steps, before planting Fatu with a Future Shock DDT on the floor.

McIntyre then handcuffed Fatu to the ring post and continued the assault, leaving him “battered and bloodied”. That attack intensified the rivalry, setting the stage for a violent showdown at WrestleMania.

The animosity between Fatu and McIntyre has reached a boiling point. With WrestleMania 42 on the horizon, their Unsanctioned Match promises to be a brutal encounter.
