Indiana Fever Sign Grace VanSlooten to Fill Roster Spot

The Indiana Fever have added to their roster, signing Grace VanSlooten to a rest-of-season contract, the team announced Friday afternoon.

This move follows the Fever’s decision to waive guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough on Thursday, opening up a spot on the team.

VanSlooten’s Journey to Indiana

Grace VanSlooten, a 6-foot-3 forward, brings a solid collegiate record to the Fever. She was a two-time All-Big Ten honoree at Michigan State. The Seattle Storm selected her with the No. 39 pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft.

Before joining the Fever, VanSlooten played in four games for the Storm. During that time, she averaged 4.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game. One of those games was against the Fever.

At Michigan State, VanSlooten averaged 15.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game during her senior season.

Depth in the Frontcourt

VanSlooten’s arrival aims to bolster the Indiana Fever’s frontcourt depth. The team has faced injury challenges early in the season. Monique Billings missed the season opener with an ankle injury but returned May 13. Aliyah Boston missed the Fever’s game against Seattle on May 17 with a lower leg injury before returning May 20.

With these players returning, VanSlooten will add needed cover.
