Henrique Rocha, Portugal’s number two and ranked 133rd in the ATP rankings, has earned a place in the main draw of the ATP 250 in Marrakech, Morocco. He progressed through the qualifying phase with ease.
Rocha’s Qualifying Victory
The 21-year-old defeated Nikolai Budkov, a former junior world number one and currently 141st in the ATP rankings, with a score of 6-1 and 6-2. Rocha controlled the match from start to finish.
Possible first-round opponents include Rafael Jodar and Camilo Ugo Carabelli, or another qualifier.
Return to ATP Level
This is the first main draw appearance at ATP (or Grand Slam) level for Henrique Rocha since Roland Garros 2025. It is only the third time he has passed the qualifying stage of a tournament at this level.
In addition to Roland Garros 10 months ago, he also qualified for the Millennium Estoril Open in 2023.
Rocha will be looking to make an impact in his first ATP main draw appearance in nearly a year.
