Hearts Nominees Shine at Scottish Football Writers’ Awards

Four Jambos have been nominated at this year’s Scottish Football Writers’ Awards.

Lawrence Shankland, Claudio Braga, Derek McInnes and Georgia Timms have all received nominations.

Shankland and Braga Up for Player of the Year

Lawrence Shankland, who won the coveted Player of the Year Award in 2024 is up for the same award this year, alongside his strike partner Claudio Braga.

The skipper is on 19 goals for the season, with Braga on 14.

The duo have formed a deadly partnership, which has been imperative to the Jambos’ success this season, culminating in a record points total and a Champions League qualifier to look forward to next season.

McInnes Eyes Manager of the Year Hat-Trick

Derek McInnes has been nominated for the William Hill Manager of the Year as the Jambos remain top of the Premiership with just two matches to go.

The head coach has already been named the Glen’s Manager of the Season & PFA Scotland Manager of the Year and is looking to make it a hat-trick at the ceremony on Sunday, 17th May.

Timms Nominated in SWPL

Over in the SWPL, the Jambos also sit top of the table and fresh off scoring in Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Celtic, which guaranteed European football for the first time in the club’s history, Georgia Timms has been nominated for SWPL Player of the Year.

The awards ceremony is on Sunday, 17th May.
