Daikin Park played host to some unique scenes recently. Great Britain took on Mexico in Houston.
The game was part of Pool B of the World Baseball Classic. Mexico won the game, 8-2.
Home Run Celebrations on Display
Both teams got a chance to break out some special home run celebrations. Mexico and Great Britain did not disappoint.
Nacho Alvarez Jr. sported a Lucha Libre mask after hitting a home run for Mexico. This happened in the top of the second.
Ford’s Theatrical Display
Great Britain produced a full foot guard uniform team. This included a faux-bearskin cap. It was produced when Harry Ford hit his own home run in the bottom of the sixth.
The actual Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is a very serious thing. If you did want to attend, you’d probably want to block out about an hour of your day to do so.
The home run celebration, if nothing else, goes a lot quicker.
