Weights have been revealed for the 55 remaining entries for the Grand National at Aintree. The race will take place on 11 April. A maximum of 34 top-rated horses will line up on the day.
Top-Weighted Horses
I Am Maximus (FR), trained by Willie Mullins (IRE), is the top-weighted horse at 11-12. Nick Rockett (IRE), another Willie Mullins-trained horse, is weighted at 11-11. Banbridge (IRE), trained by Joseph O’Brien (IRE), also carries a weight of 11-11.
Grangeclare West (IRE), trained by Willie Mullins (IRE), and Gerri Colombe (FR), trained by Gordon Elliott (IRE), are both weighted at 11-10. Haiti Couleurs (FR), trained by Rebecca Curtis, also has a weight of 11-10.
Other Notable Entries
Several other horses have been assigned weights in the 11-stones range. These include Spillane’s Tower (IRE) at 11-8, L’Homme Presse (FR) at 11-8, and Firefox (IRE) at 11-4.
Monty’s Star (IRE) is weighted at 11-3, along with Spanish Harlem (FR). Lecky Watson (IRE) has been given 11-2. Champ Kiely (IRE) and Iroko (FR) are both weighted at 11-1.
Horses Carrying 10-Stones Weights
A significant number of horses are set to carry weights in the 10-stones range. Favori De Champdou (FR) is weighted at 11-1. Three Card Brag (IRE) is at 11-0. Oscars Brother (IRE) has a weight of 10-13.
Mr Vango (IRE) is set to carry 10-12, while High Class Hero (GB) and Stellar Story (IRE) are both weighted at 10-11. Beauport (IRE), French Dynamite (FR), and Captain Cody (IRE) share a weight of 10-10.
Lower Weighted Entrants
Jagwar (FR) is also weighted at 10-10. Perceval Legallois (FR) is set to carry 10-9, along with Gorgeous Tom (IRE) and The Real Whacker (IRE). Quai De Bourbon (FR) also has a weight of 10-9.
Answer To Kayf (GB) is weighted at 10-8, while Jordans (FR) carries the same weight. Now Is The Hour (IRE) is at 10-7. Final Orders (GB), Marble Sands (FR), Panic Attack (IRE), and Top Of The Bill (IRE) all share a weight of 10-5.
Johnnywho (IRE) is weighted at 10-4, along with Twig (GB) and Blaze The Way (IRE). Pied Piper (GB) is set to carry 10-3. Imperial Saint (FR) and Amirite (IRE) are both weighted at 10-2, the same as Ain’t That A Shame (IRE).
Yeah Man (IRE), Soul Icon (GB), Hyland (FR), and Harry Des Ongrais (FR) all share a weight of 10-1. Monbeg Genius (IRE) is weighted at 9-13. Deep Cave (IRE) has a weight of 9-13. Buddy One (IRE) is set to carry 9-12.
Anyway (GER) is weighted at 9-11. The Short Go (IRE) is at 9-10. Weveallbeencaught (IRE), Shanbally Kid (IRE), and Will Do (IRE) all share a weight of 9-9. In d’Or (FR) is the lowest weighted at 9-7.
