Genie Bouchard Takes on TV Role at French Open

Genie Bouchard is making waves at the French Open, not as a competitor, but as part of TNT’s broadcast team.

The former world No. 5 and Wimbledon finalist has joined a star-studded crew for TNT’s coverage of the 2026 French Open.

Bouchard’s Broadcasting Debut

TNT’s lineup includes Andre Agassi, Chris Eubanks, John Isner, Mary Joe Fernandez, John McEnroe, CoCo Vandeweghe and Caroline Wozniacki.

TNT said that this group would bring “an energetic blend of authenticity, credibility, and personality to every moment of this iconic major.”

Bouchard shared photos from Roland Garros on her social media pages after her first day, writing, “So fun hanging out w ya @TNTSportsUS.”

Fan Reaction to Bouchard’s Commentary

Tennis fans seem to be enjoying Bouchard’s commentary, according to early online reviews.

Retirement from the WTA Tour

Bouchard’s last match on the WTA Tour was during the 2025 National Bank Open in Montreal.

She lost to Belinda Bencic 2-6, 6-3, 4-6.

“I think it’s so special to play my last match here in Montreal on this court in front of you guys,” Bouchard said.

“I remember being a little kid sitting in these stands, hoping and dreaming that I can play on this court one day. … It feels like such a full circle moment to finish my career here. Tennis has given me so much. I’m filled with so much gratitude for this sport and the people along the way.”

Despite retiring from the WTA Tour, Bouchard remains popular among tennis fans.
