Kyle Filipowski put up 26 points for the Jazz in their 134-109 loss to the Suns. He also grabbed nine rebounds.
Filipowski’s Strong Performance
Filipowski shot 10-14 from the field, including 2-2 from three-point range. He was also perfect from the free-throw line, going 4-4. In 29 minutes of play, he also recorded three assists and two steals.
Filipowski fell just one rebound short of a double-double.
Jazz’s Struggles and Filipowski’s Opportunity
The Jazz are currently short-handed. Despite the team’s struggles, Filipowski has been a consistent presence since Jusuf Nurkic’s season-ending injury. Nurkic suffered a nose injury.
The door is open for Filipowski to post solid numbers. He also has the inside track for the starting job at center next season.
Filipowski proved to be one of Utah’s only bright spots in the crushing defeat.
