Felix Auger-Aliassime Secures 200th Hard-Court Win in Miami

Felix Auger-Aliassime secured his 200th hard-court win with a victory over Marton Fucsovics at the Miami Open. The Canadian won in two tight sets, 7-6 (3), 7-5 at the Masters 1000 event.

Auger-Aliassime Reaches Hard-Court Milestone

The 25-year-old Canadian is the second man born in the 2000s to reach 200 hard-court wins. Jannik Sinner is the other, with 241.

Auger-Aliassime’s record on the surface is now 200-115. Hard courts have been his best surface; he’s won all nine of his ATP titles on it, including his most recent one in Montpellier earlier this year. He has reached eight of his 13 career ATP finals on this surface, plus both of his Grand Slam semifinals, at the US Open in 2021 and 2025.

Match Against Fucsovics Proves Tight

Auger-Aliassime’s match against Fucsovics was closely contested. Fucsovics had won two of their previous five meetings, with four of those five going to three sets. This match also proved to be a challenge.

In the first set, after an exchange of breaks in the seventh and eighth games, the set went to a tie-break. Fucsovics initially went up 1-0, but Auger-Aliassime then claimed five consecutive points to take a 5-1 lead, eventually winning the 65-minute set.

The second set saw further exchanges of breaks. Fucsovics broke in the first game, but Auger-Aliassime responded immediately. Auger-Aliassime then broke for a 4-2 lead, only for Fucsovics to break back for 4-3. After trading holds, Auger-Aliassime secured the decisive break in the final game, clinching the victory in two hours and ten minutes with a forehand passing shot.
