Alejandro Davidovich Fokina recovered to level his match after dropping the first set. He is currently leading Dzumhur 5-2 in the second set after losing the first on a tiebreak.
Davidovich Fokina Battles Back Against Dzumhur
Davidovich Fokina saved a break-back point at 6-7 5-3 with a drop shot at the net. However, Dzumhur then hit a backhand winner down the line to restore deuce from set-point down. Davidovich Fokina then levelled the match, winning the second set 6-3.
Earlier, Davidovich Fokina trailed Dzumhur 6-7 3-2 on serve.

Khachanov is facing Gea. Gea saved three break points and looped a forehand that caught the baseline. Gea then forced break point against Khachanov and took a 5-3 lead in the second set after a forehand went long. Davidovich Fokina can, levelling at a set apiece with Dzumhur, 6-7 6-3.
Volynets leads Burel 3-0. Bouzkova beat Bronzetti and meets Jones or Haddad Maia next. Kecmanovic has levelled against Maroszan at a set apiece. Duckworth has beaten Diallo 6-3 4-1 retired. Wang leads Tagger 5-1 in the decider.
Tomljanovic and Mcnally are in a second-set tiebreak, currently at 4-4. Mcnally eventually took it to five, meaning a decider.
Kostyuk’s Emotional Match
Kostyuk said this was one of the most difficult matches of her career. Earlier this morning, a missile destroyed a building 100m away from her parents’ house. Kostyuk didn’t know how she’d handle things having spent the morning crying.
She is pleased to be in the second round, but all her thoughts and all her heart goes to the people of Ukraine. She says it’s important to keep going.
