Cowboys Draft LT Overton as Final Fourth-Round Pick

The Dallas Cowboys selected LT Overton as their final fourth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. They were aware of the importance of this pick, given they had no second-round pick this year.

The Cowboys also entered the day without a pick in the fifth or sixth rounds, due to trades made on Day 1 (for Caleb Downs) and Day 2 (for Dee Winters).

Overton Arrives After Defensive Focus

Plenty of defensive needs had already been addressed via free agency and the draft. This led to the Cowboys’ front office and head coach Brian Schottenheimer considering the possibility of not making any offensive additions.

However, the jury was out on whether that would happen.

With the 137th-overall pick, the Cowboys selected LT Overton, a versatile defensive lineman out of Alabama.
