Cowboys Agree Terms with Defensive Lineman Otito Ogbonnia

The Cowboys have bolstered their defensive options.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Media reports that the Cowboys have agreed to terms with defensive lineman Otito Ogbonnia. He joins on a one-year deal worth $3 million.

Ogbonnia’s Career to Date

Ogbonnia, formerly of the Chargers, was a 2022 fifth-round pick. He featured in 43 regular season and playoff games for the Chargers during his time there.

Ogbonnia started in 21 of those games, including every game in the 2024 season. He was a reserve in nine 2025 appearances.

Ogbonnia has 82 tackles and a half-sack over the course of his career.

Other Defensive Additions

The Cowboys have also made deals to add other players to their defence.

Safety Jalen Thompson will be joining the roster. So will defensive lineman Rashan Gary, and safety P.J. Locke.

The Cowboys are looking to strengthen their defence with these acquisitions.
