The Cheltenham Festival is set to take place over four days. The BBC will provide extensive coverage of the event, including live commentaries and text updates.
BBC Coverage of the Cheltenham Festival
BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra will broadcast commentaries of all 28 races at the meeting from 10-13 March. Coverage of the feature races and Gold Cup day will also be available on Radio 5 Live, including the big contest at 16:00 GMT.
There will be live text commentaries, racecards and results every day on the BBC Sport website and app. Additional coverage will be available on BBC Sport’s social media accounts.
Gina Bryce presents the coverage from Tuesday to Thursday, and Mark Chapman on Friday. Andrew Thornton, Paddy Brennan, and Charlie Poste will offer analysis and insight, with John Hunt leading the commentary.
Key Races and Schedule
The meeting takes place from Tuesday 10 to Friday 13 March. The first race each day is at 13:20 GMT. There are seven races each day – 28 in total – with the final race at 17:20.
- Tuesday includes The Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle at 13:20 and The Unibet Champion Hurdle at 16:00.
- Wednesday features The Turners Novices’ Hurdle at 13:20 and The BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Chase at 16:00.
- Thursday includes The Ryanair Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at 13:20 and The Ryanair Chase at 16:00.
- Friday includes the JCB Triumph Hurdle at 13:20 and the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase at 16:00.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup is the fifth race on Friday and takes place at 16:00.

Harry Redknapp’s Jukebox Man attempts to be the first horse from British soil to win the Gold Cup since 2018. The Jukebox Man won the King George VI Chase on Boxing Day.
