Brown Leads the Charge for Boston

Jaylen Brown led Boston’s offence. He scored 11 points in 13 minutes, adding 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

The first ten minutes of the game were a defensive battle. Boston held a 17-10 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the first quarter. Brown had a game-high 11 points, shooting 4-for-9 from the field.

Elsewhere in the NBA, Nikola Jokić recorded his league-leading 28th triple-double. He tallied 22 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists in Denver’s 128-112 victory over Portland.

Malik Monk exploded for a game- and season-high 32 points, leading Sacramento to a 126-122 victory over Brooklyn. Monk shot 8-for-17 from the field, including 7-for-13 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line. Rookie Maxime Raynaud also contributed 22 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings.

Ben Saraf, a Nets rookie, matched Raynaud with a career-high 22 points. He shot 10-for-20 from the field, adding 3 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal in 29 minutes of play.

The Knicks took a 68-52 lead over the Wizards into halftime. Karl-Anthony Towns (15 pts, 10 reb), Jalen Brunson (14 pts, 2 ast), Mikal Bridges (11 pts) and Josh Hart (10 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl) powered a dominant first-half performance for New York.

Anthony Gill led the Wizards with 11 points. He shot 5-for-6 from the field, adding 3 rebounds and 2 steals in 13 minutes.
