Barcelona’s president-elect Joan Laporta attended a meal with representatives from Osasuna. The meeting took place ahead of the match between the two teams. Rafael Yuste also attended the lunch, representing Barcelona.
Laporta’s Transfer Tease
Laporta was involved in an exchange with a young Barcelona fan. The fan asked about the possibility of signing Julián Álvarez from Atlético de Madrid. Laporta responded playfully, suggesting the journalists had prompted the question.
Yuste on Barcelona’s League Ambitions
Yuste addressed questions regarding Barcelona’s aspirations to win La Liga. He maintained the focus was on the immediate game. Yuste stated the importance of respecting their opponent and securing three points. He did not want to think about winning the league just yet.
Official Delegation at Pamplona
In addition to Laporta and Yuste, other members of the Barcelona delegation were present in Pamplona. Josep Cubells, Josep Ignasi Macià, and Joan Solé also attended. Alejandro Echevarria, Enric Masip, and Bojan Krkic were also present at the meal.
Laporta echoed a similar sentiment to Yuste regarding winning the title. He simply stated, “Cuanto antes, cuanto antes…” expressing his desire to win the title as soon as possible.
