The Avalanche are set to begin a two-game homestand as they host the Pittsburgh Penguins. The game will be part of Colorado Hockey Night. The Avalanche will wear its Quebec Nordiques Heritage Jerseys as a part of the Heritage Series. Bryan Rust gave Pittsburgh the lead in the third, but Utah’s Ian Cole tied the game. Noel Acciari then scored the game-winner for the Penguins.
