Friday’s baseball game between NC State and UCF in the Auburn Regional was suspended due to weather.
The contest was halted in the top of the eighth inning at Plainsman Park.
Resuming Play on Saturday
The Wolfpack and Knights are scheduled to resume the game on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET/11 a.m. CT.
UCF currently holds a 9-3 lead with NC State having Chris McHugh on second base and Ty Head at the plate with two outs.
What’s Next for the Winner and Loser
Following the conclusion of the UCF and NC State game, the winner will advance to play the fourth-seeded Milwaukee Panthers in the winner’s bracket on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
The loser will face the top-seeded and No. 4 national-seeded Auburn in an elimination game on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT.
