Al Horford to Come Off Bench Against Clippers in Play-In

Al Horford will not be in the starting lineup for the Warriors’ Play-In Tournament game against the Clippers on Wednesday.

Horford’s Role Reversal

Horford had been given the starting nod in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Clippers, a game the Warriors lost. Draymond Green was sidelined with a back injury, opening the door for Horford to start.

However, with Green seemingly ready, Horford will retreat to the second unit for Wednesday’s crucial game.

Horford’s Regular Season Performance

Across 32 regular-season appearances off the bench, the 39-year-old averaged 7.4 points. He also recorded 4.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 blocks in 20.6 minutes per game.

The veteran big man will look to bring that production off the bench in the Play-In Tournament game.

The do-or-die matchup against the Clippers will see Horford back in his familiar role.
