Jaylen Brown Admits Wembanyama is a ‘Big Problem’

Jaylen Brown has amended his claim of being the best two-way player in the NBA, offering high praise for Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs.

Brown’s comments came after the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks 120-100 on Friday night. All eyes were on Jayson Tatum as he made his season debut for the team. However, Jaylen Brown led the way for Boston with another efficient scoring performance.

Brown’s Initial Two-Way Player Claim

Brown has been putting together an MVP-caliber season, averaging 28.8 PPG, 7.2 RPG, 5.1 APG, and 48.1 FG%. He had recently declared himself the best two-way player in the NBA.

Wembanyama’s Impact

Following the Celtics’ victory over the Mavericks, Brown took a moment to adjust his statement on a recent Twitch stream. “That boy Wemby is a problem, a big problem,” Brown said. “When I say I’m the best two-way player in the league, it’s not counting Wemby. Wemby don’t count. He’s not even human. I’m the best human player.”

Wembanyama, standing at 7’4, is considered one of the most dangerous players in the NBA. He is agile enough to play like a point forward at times.

Wembanyama can do just about everything you’d want from a basketball player. He is also tall enough to play in the paint on both ends of the floor.

Brown’s Perspective

Brown acknowledged that he can’t make the same sort of blocks that Wembanyama is capable of. However, when it comes to players who aren’t built like Wembanyama, Brown believes he’s still the best of the best in the two-way player department.

Brown will look to further prove his case when the Celtics square off against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon.
