The dust has settled from WrestleMania 42, and the WWE now looks to the future. WrestleMania 42, a two-day event in Las Vegas, culminated a year of WWE storylines with several massive bouts. The first Raw show since the grand spectacle featured top winners and the fallout from the results, with some surprise appearances expected.
Raw After WrestleMania 42 Results
Raw After WrestleMania 42 took place on Monday, April 20 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The show began at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Night one of WrestleMania 42 was described as an up-and-down night. Night two delivered what was described as a great ending to WrestleMania.
McAfee’s Wrestling Future
Many were unhappy with McAfee’s inclusion into Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton. After being unsuccessful in helping Orton win and getting attacked twice, it appears he is done with wrestling.
“It’s been a hell of a run. Thank you, wrestling,” he said on his show on Monday, April 20. “The wrestling business is now in the rearview mirror. To the wrestling business, I’d like to say, thank you so much.”
Lesnar’s Possible Retirement
After an emphatic loss to Oba Femi to start night two, Lesnar sat in the ring and took off his gloves and boots. This is a signal that a wrestler is calling it a career. He couldn’t hide his emotions as he began to cry, and the crowd realised what was happening, clapping for him.
Longtime manager Paul Heyman embraced him in the ring, and Lesnar saluted the crowd as he left the stage. It wasn’t explicitly stated, but it indicates Lesnar has ended his in-ring career.
There could be a chance he suits up one more time for SummerSlam 2026 in Minneapolis.
