Wisconsin Badgers Add Trey Autry From Transfer Portal

The Wisconsin Badgers have made their first move in the transfer portal, securing George Washington guard Trey Autry. According to reports, Autry has signed with the team.

Autry’s On-Court Performance

Autry, a junior this past season, posted averages of 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. He demonstrated shooting accuracy, with a 43.5 percent field goal percentage and a 38.5 percent three-point percentage.

He converted at a high rate on 6.4 attempts a game.

Addressing Roster Needs

The Badgers have been looking to fill wing positions after the departures of Nick Boyd, John Blackwell, and Andrew Rohde. Autry addresses one of those needs and is a capable three-point shooter. Autry will also bring quality defence to the Badgers.

Family Connection and Future Roster

Autry is the son of former Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry. The Badgers are aiming to improve their defence after a season where they performed below expectations in 2025.

Wisconsin still has quite a bit of work to do in the transfer portal, but the addition of Autry is a key one to building the foundation.

Wisconsin now has five roster spots to fill for the 2026-27 season.
