Wisconsin basketball is holding strong as a No. 6 seed in the latest NCAA Tournament bracket projection.
The Badgers concluded their 2025-26 regular season with a statement road win over No. 15 Purdue. The team closed the slate at 22-9 (14-6 Big Ten) and enters the Big Ten Tournament as the No. 5 seed.
Big Ten Tournament Awaits
Wisconsin’s seed gave the team a bye through the first two rounds. It awaits the winner between No. 12 Washington and No. 13 USC.
If Wisconsin advances to the quarterfinals, a rematch against No. 4 Illinois awaits.
NCAA Tournament Fate
The Badgers’ NCAA Tournament fate is sealed. Even with a loss to the Trojans or Huskies, Greg Gard’s team is comfortably projected on that No. 6 line.
However, a third consecutive run to the final, which would include wins over Washington/USC, Illinois and potentially Michigan, could push the team to a higher seed line.
Looking Ahead
Wisconsin tips off its Big Ten Tournament schedule on Thursday afternoon. The March Madness bracket projections will be worth watching as Selection Sunday approaches.
