Victor Wembanyama’s Dunk Highlights Spurs’ Game 1 Double Overtime Win

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama delivered a memorable dunk during the Spurs’ Game 1 win.

The play saw Wembanyama dunk over both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Wembanyama’s Highlight Reel Dunk

The dunk occurred in the second quarter of the Spurs’ Game 1 win over the Thunder on Monday night at the Paycom Center. Wembanyama caught a lob in the middle of the lane. He managed to grab it, move it to his left and throw down the one-handed dunk between Gilgeous-Alexander and Holmgren with ease.

Getty Images’ Zach Beeker captured a photo from under the rim of the dunk.

At halftime, Wembanyama had already secured a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 6 of 11 from the field.

Spurs Secure Double Overtime Victory

The Spurs needed double overtime to put the Thunder away. San Antonio secured a 122-115 win.

Wembanyama scored 41 points and grabbed 24 rebounds. It marked just the seventh 40-20 game in a conference finals or later in NBA history.

Wembanyama had several huge plays down the stretch, including another dunk through Holmgren and a logo 3-pointer. Holmgren did block Wembanyama at the end of regulation.

Regardless of how the series turns out, Wembanyama clearly came to play.
