Thunder Face Magic: Injury Report Impacts Key Players

The Oklahoma City Thunder are on the road to take on the Orlando Magic in an interconference showdown.

Oklahoma City enters Tuesday’s game with a 53-15 record after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Orlando Magic enter with a 38-29 record after losing to the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night.

Williams Sidelined for Thunder

Oklahoma City has three players listed on their injury report, including Jalen Williams. Williams has been ruled out due to a right hamstring strain. He has been sidelined since February 12, and there is no timetable for his return.

Branden Carlson has also been ruled out as he recovers from a back strain. Thomas Sorber is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.

Wagner Out for Magic

The Magic also have three players listed on their injury report, including Franz Wagner and Anthony Black. Wagner has been ruled out due to left ankle injury management, keeping him out since February 19.

Black has been ruled out due to a left abdominal strain and will miss his seventh consecutive contest. Jonathan Isaac has also been ruled out with a left knee sprain.

Thunder’s Recent Form

Oklahoma City will try to grab another victory as they face off against the Magic. In Sunday’s victory over the Timberwolves, Chet Holmgren recorded 21 points and nine rebounds. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 20 points, three rebounds and 10 assists.

Magic Look to Recover

Orlando enters Tuesday’s contest looking to bounce back from a loss to the Atlanta Hawks. In Monday’s loss, Paolo Banchero led the way for the Magic with 18 points, 10 rebounds and three assists. Desmond Bane recorded 18 points and four assists.

With Williams still sidelined, Ajay Mitchell and Cason Wallace will both likely continue to have increased roles until the star forward is cleared to return.
