The TGL playoffs are here, and the best-of-three finals of TGL’s SoFi Cup are set to begin. No. 2 seed Los Angeles Golf Club will face No. 4 seed Jupiter Links Golf Club.
LA Golf Club’s Route to the Final
Los Angeles Golf Club rallied from a 4-1 deficit through seven holes to take down defending SoFi Cup champion Atlanta Drive Golf Club 6-4 in the first semi-finals match. Justin Rose, a star for LA Golf Club, noted the team’s quality and the trust they have in each other. He believes that the theory of large numbers will play in their favour.
Jupiter Links GC Overcomes Odds
Jupiter Links GC, led by Tiger Woods, stunned No. 1 seed Boston Common Golf in a 9-5 rout in last week’s semi-finals, knocking Rory McIlroy out of the playoffs. Woods had previously called Jupiter GC the “Bad News Bears” after a poor inaugural season in 2025. He cited instances such as skulled bunker shots and shot-clock violations.
Woods said, “But now the Bad News Bears can play.”
