TGL Championship: Los Angeles Golf Club Face Jupiter Links

The TGL’s SoFi Cup final is set to begin Monday night with a best-of-three match. The No. 2 seed Los Angeles Golf Club will face No. 4 seed Jupiter Links Golf Club.

Last week’s semi-finals saw No. 4 seed Jupiter Links GC defeat No. 1 seed Boston Common Golf in a 9-5 rout. Los Angeles Golf Club rallied from a 4-1 deficit to take down Atlanta Drive Golf Club 6-4 in the first semi-finals match.

Jupiter Links GC’s Transformation

Jupiter GC finished the inaugural TGL season in 2025 with a 1-4 record. Injured star Tiger Woods called them the “Bad News Bears”.

Woods said they had some weird stuff happen last year. He referenced a skulled bunker shot, nearly hitting someone in the stands, hitting the flag, and a shot-clock violation. Woods now says that “the Bad News Bears can play.”

How the Teams Match Up

Los Angeles Golf Club includes Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Sahith Theegala. Jupiter Links Golf Club includes Akshay Bhatia, Max Homa, and Kisner.

LA Golf Club defeated Jupiter Links 8-4 in the teams’ regular-season match on Jan. 20. LA Golf Club took a 4-1 lead in triples, but Jupiter Links rallied to cut its deficit to 5-4 heading into the 14th hole. Morikawa sank a 17-foot birdie putt to grab a 7-4 advantage.

That match included the only albatross in TGL history when Rose holed his second shot from 227 yards on No. 10 while playing Homa in singles.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Jupiter Links Golf Club has dominated singles matches this season, winning a league-high 16 points. They have been one of the best putting teams in TGL with a 72.7% on attempts inside 10 feet.

LA Golf Club has performed better in triples with 18 holes won for 20 points. LA has been much longer off the tee, with a 317.9-yard average.
